Project overview

The Rosecrans Avenue Over Los Angeles River Bridge Rehabilitation Project involves the rehabilitation, widening, and seismic retrofitting of the existing bridge to enhance safety and multimodal mobility, including the addition of a Class III bike path. The bridge, originally built in 1951 and modified several times since, currently carries three lanes of traffic in each direction with narrow lanes and sidewalks but no shoulders.

IDC’s role

IDC, as the prime consultant, is responsible for the PAED, PS&E, and funding support for the project. The design aims to align with the city's General Plan, promoting a balanced approach to vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic. The project team includes Wendy Li as Project Manager, along with Moffatt & Nichol, Epic, EMI, and Psomas as subconsultants.
