Construction Manager / Resident Engineer

What you’ll do

• Serve as Resident Engineer or Construction Manager on transportation construction contracts.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders; track schedule and budget.
• Oversee inspection, materials testing coordination, and quality assurance.
• Maintain the agency relationship and contract documentation per Caltrans CM standards.
• Resolve field design issues with the structural and civil design teams.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of transportation construction management.
• Familiarity with Caltrans Construction Manual and local-agency procedures.
• Strong documentation, scheduling, and stakeholder-communication skills.

Nice to have

• California PE license.
• Resident Engineer experience on Caltrans-funded projects.
• Certified DBE/SBE program familiarity.
